Old Mazatlan

Arriving in Mazatlan was, for us, a real high point, bringing together beaches, warm weather and the prospect of plenty of tasty food. Having initially planned on staying for 2 nights and then heading on down to San Blas, after the first few hours walking around town, we then decided to prolong our stopover and really make the most of this lovely colonial town.
The beach is only a 5 min walk from where were staying and a market full of delicious foods and fruit shakes, the same distance in the other direction. We have therefore developped a nice little routine of getting up, strolling to the market for a healthy breakfast and then off to the beach for a few hours before it is time for another forage in the market and a walk along the Promenade at dusk watching the sunset. This is something we could get used to, but no time, our batteries recharged we head off tomorrow morning down the coast to see what we can find at our next beach stop, San Blas.
