Some words from the filmcrew in Brasil

After a 48 hour stay at home, just enough time to wash our dirty clothes and meet our family we were back on the road. Our destination São Paulo, the biggest city of Brasil. With more then 17 million inhabitants. At the airport we were welcomed by our 'despanchante' (broker) to help us with the customs. The customs were not interested in seeing any materials or papers, so that was good. We thought it would take us hours and a lot of talks, but we just walked out the airport.

After a 12 hour flight we had to confirm our flights for the next morning. There the problem came. Our mastercard/creditcard was not accepted. To confirm we needed a lot of money. We arrived local time at 6 in the evening. It was dark and rainy in São Paulo. We walked quickly to the nearest ATM, off course in another terminal, because the office would soon close. Then I found out that the maximum of withdrawl was 1000,- reais (Brazilian currency). That wasn't enough for even one flight, so from all different cards and accounts we managed the amount and confirmed our flight of the next morning.

Deadly tired and a bit anxious about the money issue, (only temporarily solved) we went to the  hotel, not far from the airport. As it was dark we couldn't see anything of the huge city. In the hotel we ate, drank and fell a sleep.

At 6.45  the next morning we left for our next flight, to Puerto Seguro. It would take us a whole day to arrive in Trancoso. We traveled to this beautiful little town on the beach to make an item about Hugo França. (see projects.) It was a wonderful place to get rid of our jetleg, a cold and to get accustomed to this new country.
