What's up with the Northern team?

Hello all,

Here is a small note from deepeei film productions. We have been asked a couple of times why Anna and Fin do not write about each other in their weblog. The answer is fairly easy. Anna and Fin have decided to bike separately. After only a few days into this expedition the have split up. It showed that both Anna & Fin had many different opinions and styles.

For the documentary, a different point of view is great. But for Anna and Fin the differences where so great, they knew for sure that travelling eight months together would not be a pleasant experience. After months of preparation, training and finding sponsors, a decision like this is not made easily.

Going South is all about cycling in a team in search for innovative solutions to combat climate change. The bikers are the narrative thread. They will meet interesting persons, see climate change disaster and find solutions already being out there. We have especially recruited teams for this. For a team it is easier to film, share experience, make camp and enjoy the whole process of biking and filming.

After a constructive discussion with both Anna and Fin we have decided to continue with Fin to be in the series and to select another biker to join him, to make a new team. Fin and his new cycling partner will restart in Deadhorse in a couple of weeks. He knows the route… Within a few weeks time the new team will be biking down South again with renewed and high spirits.

Anna will also continue to bike though the Americas. Although she will not be part of the Going South project anymore. If you want to follow all of Anna’s adventures, check out her website at: http://www.wishfish.org/
